Exercise

Recently we organised an exercise about bullying. Students were divided into two groups. They had to think about the typical adjectives describing bully and a bullied person. Then they had to cut out 'a paper man' Later they had to find these adjectives in a dictionary and write them on the paper man. We will continue that work, so to be cont. :-)

Our pupils with their teachers Helen Chatzistefanou (teacher) and Karatosiou Georgia (teacher of ICT) made a questionnaire concerning Internet Security to discover if their parents are informed enough about this issue.  Our pupils are going to be journalists, taking some interviews from their parents. We are organising an event with our pupils and their parents on 5 March with main subject Internet Security and Cyber Bullying. This questionnaire is going to be answer by their parents via an e-form. We will process answers in computer lab and the results are going to be presented in our event and in our newspaper,with the subject "Bullying".

Pupils of 5^th grade say “NO” in Bullying, illustrating their thoughts about bullying with pictures that drawn and with pictures that were downloaded from Internet, using the software Microsoft Power Point.

Οι μαθητές της Ε΄ τάξης του 8^ου Δημοτικού Σχολείου λένε «ΟΧΙ» στον σχολικό εκφοβισμό παρουσιάζοντας τις σκέψεις τους μέσα από δικές τους ζωγραφιές και εικόνες από το Διαδίκτυο με θέμα τον σχολικό εκφοβισμό, χρησιμοποιώντας το πρόγραμμα Microsoft Power Point.

Της καρδιάς τα χρώματα-the colors of the heart

Children of 5th grade of 8th Primary School of Ptolemaida visualized the song " heart colours". Using their imagination they drawn and took pictures of their drawings. The created video will be used as a background to the music concert that will be presented on 6th March.

We can defeat the violence in schools with a colorful heart that beats loudly and talks with songs, laugh with love and hug all the world.

They took some pictures expressing their refusal to bad treatment of their peers to children that are in a difficult mental or physical position.

Ο Άη Βασίλης δεν μας ξεχνάει ποτέ- Η κυρία Ζωή Βιολάκη στην τάξη μας

Every Christmas time is not the same as last year.
But there were for our country some completely different Christmas. Christmas without glare and light, without festive tables with treats and trees. Christmas, when kids were hungry and frightened into silent and cold houses that even the little light of small lamps extinguished the fear for a raid or a bombing. It was the dark years of war and occupancy. However, even then the Santa Claus did not forget to come .....

Στην καθημερινότητά μας, όσο κι αν οι μέρες πολλές φορές φαντάζουν ίδιες, είναι πάντα διαφορετικές. Σφραγίζονται κάθε φορά από στιγμές και γεγονότα που κάνουν την καθεμιά ξεχωριστή και ανεπανάληπτη.

    Έτσι και με τις γιορτές.Τι κι αν στολίζουμε κάθε χρόνο το δέντρο μας και φτιάχνουμε μελομακάρονα και κουραμπιέδες; Ποτέ τα φετινά  Χριστούγεννα δεν είναι ίδια με τα περσινά.

Υπήρξαν όμως για τη χώρα μας και κάποια Χριστούγεννα ολότελα διαφορετικά. Χριστούγεννα χωρίς λάμψη και φως, χωρίς γιορταστικό τραπέζι με λιχουδιές και καταστόλιστα δέντρα. Χριστούγεννα που τα παιδιά έμειναν πεινασμένα και τρομαγμένα  μέσα στο σιωπηλό και κρύο σπίτι που ακόμα και το λιγοστό φως της γκαζόλαμπας έσβηνε στο φόβο μιας εφόδου ή ενός βομβαρδισμού . Ήταν τα μαύρα χρόνια του πολέμου και της κατοχής.

   Ωστόσο, ακόμα και τότε ο Αη Βασίλης δεν ξεχνούσε  να ΄ρθει. Φορτωμένος αγάπη, ελπίδα κι αισιοδοξία ερχόταν πάντα συνεπής στο ραντεβού του με τα παιδιά φέρνοντας μικρά έστω κι ασήμαντα ψευτοδωράκια που ανακούφιζαν και πρόσφεραν παρηγοριά στις αθώες ψυχές που ζούσαν τη φρίκη του πολέμου.

     Γι΄αυτά τα Χριστούγεννα  και όχι μόνο μίλησε φέτος στην τάξη μας η κυρία Ζωή, μια γιαγιά από την Κρήτη που έζησε σαν παιδί εκείνα τα δυσκολα χρόνια και που μας διαβεβαιώνει  πως  όσο απίστευτο κι αν φαίνεται κάποιες φορές, όχι, ο Αη Βασίλης δεν μας ξεχνάει ποτέ!

The year is over and makes you think. What did you do for yourself and for others? Did you offer hapiness whenever you could? Did you leave your mark somewhere along the way?
Close your eyes and visualize the year that starts with all your senses. What if they tell you there is no Santa Claus? You can see him. He comes with huge bag full of music, colors, fragrances, flavors, laughs and joy. So goodbye to the year that goes with gratitude for what it gave you and pride for what you gave generously to others. Proceed with confidence and smile.

Η χρονιά τελείωσε και εσύ κάνεις τον απολογισμό σου. Τι έκανες για τον εαυτό σου και για τους άλλους; Μπόρεσες να προσφέρεις τη χαρά έστω και με μικροπράγματα; Άφησες κάπου τα ίχνη σου με οποιοδήποτε τρόπο;

                   Κλείσε τα μάτια και οραματίσου την χρονιά που ξεκινάει με όλες σου τις αισθήσεις. Τι κι αν σου λένε πως δεν υπάρχει Άγιος Βασίλης. Εσύ μπορείς να τον δεις. Κατεβαίνει φορτωμένος με τον τεράστιο σάκο γεμάτο μουσικές, χρώματα, αρώματα, γεύσεις, γέλια και χαρές. Αποχαιρέτησε λοιπόν τη  χρονιά που φεύγει με ευγνωμοσύνη για όσα σου χάρισε και περηφάνια για όσα κι εσύ χάρισες απλόχερα στους άλλους. Προχώρα με αυτοπεποίθηση και χαμόγελο.
